The future is looking bright in Virginia! RenewableWorks is now accepting applications for a SAFETY LEAD at our exciting new solar project in the Chester areas. Whether you've a been working on solar sites for years or an aspiring first-timer, we'd love for you to join our crew!
As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring safety is at the forefront for all project teams. You'll be instrumental in the day to day operations of sustainable energy units on commercial solar farm sites.
Heads up: This is a physically demanding role that will require you to work in all kinds of weather. A strong work ethic will serve you well, along with prior solar or construction experience (this is a plus, not a must!).

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, or coordinate activities of an organization to ensure safety with ethical or regulatory standards
- Identify safety issues that require follow-up or investigation
- File appropriate safety reports with regulatory agencies
- Distribute written policies and procedures related to safety activities
- Provide employee training on safety related topics, policies, or procedures
- Prepare management reports regarding safety operations and progress
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that safety procedures are followed
- Review or modify policies or operating guidelines to ensure their effectiveness
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50-75+ pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
- 2 years solar construction site experience preferred
- While any tools required to complete job tasks will be provided on site, steel or composite toed boots will be your requirement along with hot/cold weather gear
- We consider qualified applicants with arrest and convistion records in accordance with applicable law
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or equivalent related work experience preferred
- Additional Acceptable Certifications: CSP, CSHM or CHST, COSM, NCCER CSST, OSHA 500 (in addition to OSHA 30)
- First Aid / CPR

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not
limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when
making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work,
and internal pay alignment, as needed.
Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be
reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a
contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
