The future is looking bright in Texas! RenewableWorks is now accepting applications for an exciting new solar project coming up in the Corsicana area. Whether you've been working on solar sites for years or are an aspiring first-timer, we'd love for you to join our crew!

As a Solar Civil Construction Foreman on our team, you'll be instrumental in the coordinating, production, operations of all pile crews on a commercial solar farm site. You'll take charge of supervising and maintaining production consistent with all project planning and schedules, ensuring all milestones are met appropriately. 

Heads up: This is a physically demanding role that will require you to work in all kinds of weather and terrain. A strong work ethic will serve you well, along with prior solar or construction experience (this is a plus, not a must!).

Pay: $31.00 - $31.00 / hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Produce complete work plans for all scopes of civil and or install work
  • Work with project Superintendent to develop and maintain production schedules
  • Update overlays daily and submit daily foreman reports
  • Set measurable daily production goals and provide performance feedback to workers and supervision
  • Closely monitor project schedule and coordinate updates with engineer to adjust as needed to meet expectations
  • Navigate Procore, HCSS and Excel spreadsheets
  • Attend regularly scheduled foreman meetings
  • Report to the superintendent at EOD to discuss progress and projection for the following day
  • Read and follow install manuals and job plans (blueprints)
  • Manage all tools, equipment and consumable supplies
  • Regularly and consistently monitor the SAFETY and productivity of all project work crews
  • Develop, maintain and regularly report small tool inventories
  • Coordinate all labor needs with project management
  • Review/Approve time for all crew labor
  • Troubleshooting
  • Ensuring safety comes first - always!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Tasks will involve excessive and repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, standing, lifting throughout entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75+ pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to meet additional screening requirements
  • Knowledge of basic equipment hand signals
  • Solar and/or construction site experience is a plus
  • Verifiable references of professional skills and work history/resume
  • While tools will be provided onsite, please come ready with steel or composite toed boots and hot/cold weather gear
  • Attention to performance details
  • This work is not for the faint of heart - Strong work ethic and positive attitude will serve you well

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $31.00 - $31.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
