As a Field Service Manager on our team you'll be instrumental in assuring consistency, communication, coordination and safety between project leadership and field employees. You'll be the main point of contact for onsite teams ensuring we are hitting our milestones appropriately and tending to all project needs for RenewableWorks.

Heads up: This is a physically demanding role that will require you to work in all kinds of weather and terrain. A strong work ethic will serve you well, along with prior solar or construction experience (this is a plus, not a must!).

Pay: $29.80 - $31.25 / hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for hundreds of field employees. Assisting with questions and issues
  • Boots on the ground team member. You will be deployed and traveling to various locations across the US
  • Daily communications to home office teams from on site project leadership
  • Ensure the office has equipment needed to function on a daily basis
  • Track material usage and waste, optimizing resources to minimize costs
  • Partner with on site Safety Teams during orientation, incidents or injuries
  • Injury Case Management. Oversee the complete lifecycle of an injury from initial incident all the way through an employees return to work.
  • Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment resources are established, kept tidy, refilled, and available to employees at all times.
  • Supervise the capturing of time
  • Manage the time keeping technology to prevent loss and breakage
  • Entering time into payroll system for approvals and processing
  • Creating manpower orders, activities, communications and releases in system
  • Lead weekly project calls with stats, requests, questions and planning
  • Foster a relationship with project leadership establishing trust and reliability
  • Communicating employment status to all field employees, onsite leadership and home offices
  • Documenting and communicating all corrective actions to employees as needed
  • Managing, where applicable, IRA and Apprenticehip compliances as noted by project requirements
  • Partnering with Human Resources as needed
  • General Troubleshooting
  • Ensuring safety comes first - always!

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience, preferably on a solar or construction site
  • Clean driving record with a valid Driver's License
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, standards, and employee support
  • Position will require excessive and repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, standing, and lifting throughout entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75+ pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to meet additional screening requirements
  • Knowledge of basic equipment hand signals
  • Verifiable references of professional skills and work history/resume
  • While any and all tools will be provided onsite, please come ready with steel or composite-toed boots and hot/cold weather gear this is your requirement
  • Attention to performance details

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $29.80 - $31.25 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
